Learn About AWCF

The African Wildlife Consultative Forum (AWCF), a key initiative of SCI Foundation in Africa since 2001, annually unites essential stakeholders—government wildlife management authorities, hunting associations, community members, and researchers—to tackle pressing issues in sustainable use conservation across the continent. Serving as a critical platform, the AWCF addresses conservation challenges and formulates continent-wide wildlife management strategies. Key themes include the necessity for regulated wildlife trade, science-based management, community empowerment, and the mitigation of human-wildlife conflict. SCI Foundation remains committed to supporting these efforts, highlighting collaboration's vital role in achieving wildlife conservation goals.
